The center conducts surveys of seven million overseas Koreans, designs policies to advance the Korean community, and develops education programs to help overseas Koreans establish their identity. Below is a list of all current participating members. The center plans to encourage more scholars to actively participate in the research in the future.

Activities
The main research topics of the center are as follows:
  • 1) A survey on the history and reality of the Korean diaspora around the world
  • 2) Research on the establishment and advancement of the Korean community
  • 3) A study on the transformation of identity of overseas Koreans
  • 4) Multiculturalism of the Korean diaspora
