Comparative History Lecture

As exchanges and interactions are vigorously increasing throughout the world, it has become important as Koreans, as East Asians, and as global citizens, to possess cultural knowledge. We believe that the study of history has an important role to play in this regard. As such, studies of Korean, oriental, and western history have been developing for a long time respectively; however, the humanities have been remiss in fostering citizens with a global view. In approaching this problem, rather than inviting historians, the goal is to invite scholars in politics, economics, culture, and the history of ideas to discuss their research and work towards synthesizing their findings through this lecture. In the first and second half of each year, some special topics are prepared for the lectures and with the lecturer’s permission we will upload the contents of the talk on our homepage.
