The Asiatic Research Institute has laid the foundation to become a world-class comprehensive research institute for Northeast Asian studies through continuous cooperation with domestic and overseas research institutes that lead the way in this field. ARI is emerging as a global hub for East Asian studies by running visiting scholar programs and hosting joint symposiums with research institutes for Northeast Asian studies in China, Japan, Taiwan, and Western countries. In addition, ARI is playing an important role in leading Northeast Asian studies in Korea in close collaboration with local partner institutes.
