The Center for International Relations was established as an affiliated research center of the Asiatic Research Institute in February 2020, when the institute has been reorganized. We have undertaken various researches regarding issues in the Korean Peninsula and East Asia from the macroscopic perspective of international relations and traced the transformation of the regional order in East Asia linked to the change in the international order. In addition, we have explored the impact of the rise of China and the growth of East Asia on the international order from theoretical and policy perspectives. We have also sought to analyze the impact of changes in international and regional order on the Korean Peninsula. To this end, the Center for International Relations conducts various collaborative research and shares its achievements by holding academic meetings such as seminars and workshops, carrying out joint research projects, and establishing domestic and international research networks.
