This paper analyzes Chinese Intellectuals’ opinions on the necessity, direction, timing, and method of democratization by utilizing both in-depth interviews and surveys. Based on this analysis, this study examines how Chinese Intellectuals perceive democracy and what direction the development of democracy is taking in China.
